Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, well-maintained, and compliant with safety standards. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional custodial services that support the overall facility operations. Additional hours available upon request. Possibility to grow into a manager's position and pay will reflect position responsibilities. Must be able to pass a background check. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely following established safety protocols and handling procedures. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Conduct sanitation procedures in high-touch areas to ensure hygiene standards are met. Follow safety guidelines for heavy lifting and manual handling to prevent injuries during custodial tasks. Report any facility maintenance issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with strong janitorial skills. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, custodial equipment operation, and floor care including buffing and polishing. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Familiarity with sanitation standards and safety protocols related to facilities maintenance. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely and ensure thorough cleanliness.
