What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
We are looking for a responsible and dependable person who lives in or near Pleasanton to clean an office building in town twice a week. The office needs to be cleaned each Wednesday evening after 5pm, and again each weekend any time. The average hours worked, will be 4 hours per week. Please don't apply if you have a criminal record. We can only hire persons who pass a criminal background check. Responsibilities Clean office areas (dusting, spot clean furniture, walls, woodwork, door glass, etc.) Empty waste baskets. Clean restrooms and restock supplies. Vacuum entry mats. Sweep and mop all hard surface floor areas. Skills Honesty and integrity. The ability to work independently, and keep the office areas clean. Work experience doing cleaning is a plus, but not required. You must have reliable transportation. You must have a reliable phone, and be willing to communicate promptly. You must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen. A high school degree or GED is preferred, but not required.
