Custodian Maintenance

Church (Inside)

• Clean all bathrooms (Daily
• During Blue Bird, Friday and Tuesday during summer)
• Clean basement bathrooms (Daily)
• Sweep all hall floors and steps (Daily
• during Blue Bird, Weekly otherwise)
• Sweep all room floors (Daily
• during Blue Bird, Weekly otherwise)
• Empty all trash cans (Daily)
• Mop floors: Kitchen & Youth Room (after use); Halls (Weekly / Friday)
• Dust all cabinets, window sills, blinds, desks (Every other week)
• Clean untimely spills
• Clean carpets (twice a year)
• Door windows (every other week)
• Regular inside windows (twice a year)
• Clean door knobs (weekly)
• Fellowship hall floor and stairwells washed and waxed (quarterly)
• Washing room and hallway walls (quarterly)
• Setup and break down of tables and chairs (as requested, special events, Wednesday night meals)
• Clean up after special events
• Other duties as assigned Church (Outside)
• Pick up trash around the church (Daily)
• Tidy the outside church garbage area (Daily/EOD)
• Shovel / Plow snow when needed (When needed)
• Clean garbage cans (Monthly)
• Kill weeds on sidewalks and parking lot (as needed)
• Sweep all church steps (Weekly)
• Gather or blow leaves from entrances (as needed)
• Small parking lot steps need clean (daily, could be food services task)
• Rake or blow to curb (twice a week)
• Bring back trash cans from curb (twice a week)
• Mow the grass at the parsonage and church (weekly during season) Maintenance
• Check and replace burned‑out light bulbs
• Unplug clogged toilets (as needed)
• Inside painting (mainly touch‑ups as needed)
• Paint hallways after the Blue Bird is over for the year
• Replace ceiling tiles
• Fix broken baseboards
• Fix loose bulletin boards
• Call to fix broken windows
• Schedule repair service, let them in and monitor while they are on-site
• Fix minor electrical problems
• Fix minor carpentry problems
• Unclog sinks
• Monitoring of plumbing (leaks, drippy faucets, etc.)
• Railing repair and painting
• Other duties as assigned
• Outside painting
• Mop up flooded floors
