In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of commercial spaces, creating a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of commercial offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle custodial tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and floor care including buffing and floor polishing. Operate heavy-duty cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and industrial cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Follow strict safety protocols when handling chemical agents, ensuring proper storage, usage, and disposal in accordance with safety procedures. Conduct routine sanitation procedures to maintain hygiene standards across all facilities. Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and general facilities upkeep as needed. Adhere to all safety guidelines related to manual handling, heavy lifting, and equipment operation to prevent injuries and ensure a safe working environment. Skills Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of custodial practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and chemical dispensing systems. Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards in commercial settings. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and proper lifting techniques. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients or building occupants when necessary. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently while maintaining high-quality cleaning standards.
