Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic day shift Monday through Friday 8am-5pm Cleaning Technician to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a pristine environment for staff and visitors alike. Your attention to detail, commitment to quality, and proactive approach will contribute significantly to our team's success. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your efforts directly impact the overall appearance and hygiene of our spaces. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet extractors, and floor scrubbing machines to ensure floors are spotless and well-maintained. Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals safely for tasks like waxing, buffing, refinishing, and polishing floors. Conduct detailed floor care procedures including scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing to preserve the integrity of various flooring surfaces. Use appropriate chemical agents while adhering to safety protocols for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests and ensuring a welcoming environment. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is in good working order for daily use. Follow environmental services guidelines by using eco-friendly products and practices whenever possible. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Familiarity with floor care techniques such as carpet cleaning, floor waxing, buffing, and floor refinishing is advantageous. Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely and knowledge of environmental services standards is beneficial. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards teamwork and facility upkeep.
