Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES &QUALIFICATIONS
Perform a variety of custodial duties as required including cleaning floors, walls, fixtures, whiteboards, carpets and restrooms according to established methods and procedures. Lock and unlock doors and maintain security of school facility. Pick up paper and debris and sweep and clean walkways and entrances. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor cleaning and polishing machines. Must be able to perform heavy physical labor. Understand and follow oral and written directions. Requirements of maintaining school buildings in a safe, clean and orderly condition. Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies. Work independently with little direction Meet schedules and time lines. Perform special custodial work upon request of faculty. Must have a high school diploma or GED or enrolled and showing progress in GED program. Have the ability to develop a positive relationship with students, teachers, administrators, and parents. Other duties assigned by the principal. Must successfully complete all required forms and applications for employment. Render health services as necessary after appropriate training.
