The main job of the Janitor is to clean the building. Sweeps and mops floors, vacuums carpets, cleaning offices/conference rooms and dusts furniture. Job duties include collecting and removing garbage, cleaning and restocking bathrooms and washing windows. If there is an unexpected mess, such as a large spill, the Janitor is called to clean it up.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain cleanliness of entrances, hallways, stairways, and exterior walkways. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Keeps floors free of oil and debris. Empty trash cans. Clean up spills as needed. Clean windows. Clean, sanitize and stock restrooms. Dust, wipe down, and clean office furniture, windows, doors, and other surfaces. Clean break rooms, including tables, countertops, floors, microwaves, refrigerators, and other common-use areas. Follow established cleaning procedures and safety requirements. Properly use and maintain basic janitorial equipment and supplies. Assist with seasonal or special cleaning projects. General upkeep of outdoor common areas. Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Ability to read and understand basic written instructions, safety information, and product labels. Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facilities cleaning experience preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus. Strong attention to cleanliness and detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Pay:
From $14.50 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
