What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

We are seeking a dedicated Lead School Custodian to serve as a vital guardian of our learning environment, ensuring our facilities are safe, clean, and welcoming for every student and staff member. In this essential role, you will take pride in the physical upkeep of our school, performing the daily cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs that keep our classrooms and hallways in peak condition. Beyond the physical tasks, you play a key role in student safety by maintaining sanitary standards and ensuring that equipment and facilities are secure and well-cared for. As a visible and valued member of our school community, you will model positive interpersonal relationships and work cooperatively with staff to create an atmosphere conducive to high levels of learning.
