Custodian

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all zoo guests and staff. This role plays a key part in the overall guest experience by ensuring the park grounds and facilities are consistently well-maintained throughout the day. Primary responsibilities include cleaning and servicing restrooms, emptying trash and maintaining trash receptacles (including lids and surrounding areas), cleaning windows and high-touch surfaces, and promptly responding to spills, accidents, and other sanitation needs across the park. Custodians are expected to work efficiently and proactively to uphold cleanliness standards in all public areas. In addition to custodial duties, this position requires a strong customer service focus. Custodians regularly interact with guests and are expected to be friendly, approachable, and helpful-answering basic questions, providing directions, and contributing to a positive and enjoyable guest experience. This position requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
