Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Insurance, Workers' Compensation & Medical Records Coordinator to join our team in Harvey, Louisiana. This position is responsible for managing health insurance verification and billing, coordinating workers' compensation cases, and serving as the custodian of medical records for our personal injury patients. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and experienced in healthcare administration. Insurance & Billing Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility. Obtain authorizations and referrals as required. Submit and track medical claims. Review EOBs and follow up on denied or unpaid claims. Assist patients with insurance and billing inquiries. Maintain accurate insurance information and documentation. Workers' Compensation Coordinate workers' compensation cases from intake through treatment completion. Communicate with adjusters, case managers, employers, and patients. Verify workers' compensation coverage and authorizations. Monitor treatment approvals and claim status. Maintain accurate case documentation and correspondence. Medical Records Serve as custodian of medical records for personal injury patients. Process requests for medical records, billing records, and imaging reports. Respond to attorney requests, subpoenas, and authorizations for release of information. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable privacy regulations. Maintain accurate and organized patient records. Coordinate record production and tracking for legal and insurance purposes.
Skills Required:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare administrative role. Experience with insurance verification and medical billing. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
Workers' compensation experience. Medical records or HIPAA compliance experience. Personal injury or chiropractic experience. Experience working with attorneys, adjusters, and legal record requests. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

From $40,000.00 per year
