Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct facilities maintenance duties such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Manage floor care activities including buffing and waxing floors to ensure they are well-maintained.
- Execute residential painting tasks as needed to enhance the appearance of facilities.
- Carry out commercial cleaning duties in various settings, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Act as a porter by assisting with the movement of furniture and supplies as required.
- Engage in industrial cleaning processes to maintain cleanliness in production or warehouse environments.
- Regularly inspect facilities for cleanliness and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good working condition. Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is advantageous.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing, is a plus.
- Experience with residential painting can enhance your application but is not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments is essential.
