Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking 3 motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Services Workers to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities and those of our janitorial clients. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness are upheld. We service janitorial clients all over the Lafayette area on regular schedules. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of professional and hygienic workspaces through diligent cleaning practices and adherence to safety protocols. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all facility areas. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning procedures, following all safety protocols for chemical handling and storage. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other custodial tools efficiently to maintain floors and surfaces. Conduct detailed sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health standards. Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy cleaning supplies or equipment to prevent injuries. Maintain cleanliness logs, report maintenance issues promptly, and ensure compliance with safety procedures at all times. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment operation. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following proper safety procedures for chemical handling. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy objects safely. Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Must possess current Driver's License and reliable transportation, with safe driving practices for use of a company vehicle.
