Job Description As a Day Porter, you will be responsible for the daily cleaning, upkeep, and overall appearance of multiple healthcare buildings. You will help ensure facilities remain clean, organized, stocked, and presentable throughout the day. This role requires flexibility and responsiveness, as you may travel between nearby locations and respond to on-call cleaning requests or urgent facility needs during your shift. Additional evening hours may also be available for candidates interested in picking up extra shifts. Key Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of lobbies, restrooms, offices, waiting areas, and common spaces Wipe down high-touch surfaces and restock supplies as needed Maintain cleanliness of entrances, hallways, elevators, and waiting rooms Empty trash receptacles and monitor for cleanliness, maintenance, or safety concerns Respond promptly to on-call cleaning requests and urgent needs during the shift Follow infection-prevention and safety protocols in healthcare settings Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor around patients, staff, and visitors Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, facility staff, and supervisors Report supply needs, maintenance concerns, or facility issues to the supervisor promptly Travel between nearby healthcare facilities as needed during the shift Requirements Previous porter, janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience preferred Healthcare cleaning experience is a plus Must be dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and staff Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety Must have a valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable vehicle, as travel between nearby facilities may be required Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs during the shift Daytime availability required; availability to begin training before October 1 is strongly preferred Perks of Working With Us Paid major holidays Mileage reimbursement for approved travel between work locations Supportive leadership team and positive work culture Opportunities for additional hours as sites expand Flexible scheduling where possible Opportunities for growth Team appreciation programs and seasonal perks Work Location Multiple healthcare facilities in and around Attleboro, MA.
