Saturday, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Summer schedules require flexibility and may change to daytime hours with occasional evening work. Responsibilities Clean assigned buildings and grounds, including mopping floors, dusting and disinfecting surfaces, vacuuming, and removing stains. Shampoo and extract carpets and upholstery; strip and wax tile and other flooring. Empty and clean trash receptacles, recycling containers, and compost bins. Clean and disinfect drains. Replenish classroom, break room, and restroom supplies. Store supplies safely and keep equipment clean, maintained, and organized. Respond promptly to work orders and complete assigned tasks on schedule. Lock and alarm buildings and follow campus safety protocols. Shovel snow, apply ice melt, and operate power equipment as needed. Set up and take down furniture, refreshments, and other materials for campus events. Use school-provided personal protective equipment and follow safe procedures when handling chemicals and potentially hazardous materials. Assist the Night Custodial Supervisor and attend required department and staff meetings. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. At least three years of custodial experience. Ability to operate and maintain industrial cleaning equipment and common tools. Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and chemical handling. Ability to read and communicate orally in English. Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and work a flexible schedule. Ability to maintain professional relationships with employees, parents, students, and contractors. Authorization to work in the United States. Ability to pass a criminal background check. Physical Requirements The position requires lifting up to 100 pounds and carrying up to 50 pounds; prolonged standing; walking across campus and using stairs frequently; stooping, bending, reaching, and kneeling; and shoveling snow. Employees must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
