General Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure that all school areas are kept very clean and in proper working order. Cleans assigned school district facilities (e.g., classrooms, offices, gyms, restrooms, multipurpose rooms, pools, grounds, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe, attractive environment Assist Administration in areas as needed, including fixing, installing and maintaining various equipment and materials. Follow maintenance/custodial checklist for daily duties. Ensure all information regarding employees, staff and students is kept confidential. Address staff and student needs and issues as they arise. Keep current with school security policies and procedures. Participate with other staff in promoting good teamwork. Recommend measures to improve methods, performance and quality of product or service. Arranges furnishings and equipment for the purpose of providing adequate preparation for meetings, classroom activities, and events Attends in-service training (e.g., instruction on blood-borne pathogens, cleaning solvents, floor care, first aid, etc.) for the purpose of receiving information on new and/or improved procedures
Requirements:
Ability to work independently, without constant supervision to get tasks accomplished in a timely manner 2+ years experience in a school setting preferred Ability to pass all required backgrounds checks Experience and knowledge of general cleaning supplies and best practices Daily attendance and punctuality are required for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit can be met
