Job Description

Old Rochester Regional School District is seeking a custodian for second shift at ORR High School.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Dust mop and sweep all corridors and classrooms daily
  • Empty all trash containers and place trash in dumpsters daily; rinse or wash containers as needed
  • Thoroughly clean and wash all surface areas in restrooms and locker rooms daily (i.e. floors, sinks, toilets, shower stalls, soap and towel dispensers)
  • Check and fill all soap and towel dispensers daily
  • Wet mop any floor areas as needed
  • Vacuum all entrance mats and outside mats as needed
  • Inspect entrances and sidewalks for damage, clutter/dirt, malfunction, or other hazards daily
  • Strip and re-wax all vinyl floors as scheduled
  • Assist with cleanup after public events (i.e. town meeting, School Committee meetings, basketball, PTO meetings, etc.)
  • Check for and report any vandalism to Administration immediately
  • Secure all areas at end of shift, turning off lights, locking all doors and windows, setting alarm when leaving
  • Dust all horizontal surfaces in all areas, especially classrooms, weekly
  • Check all furniture for breakage and report immediately to maintenance department daily
  • Wash inside and outside all lockers yearly
  • Move furniture and equipment as required
  • Snow removal and salting of all walkways as needed
  • Assist visiting members of the public who are utilizing the facilities
  • Performs other duties consistent with this job goal or as assigned

$20 to $24 Per Hour
