Freezer Warehouse Porter (1st & 2nd Shift)

The Freezer Warehouse Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment in our frozen distribution center. The porter will also assist in managing broken cases and damaged product. This position operates a variety of warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and hand trucks. 1st

3PM-Finish Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clear freezer aisles of stretch wrap, cardboard, pallet debris, etc. Re-pack broken cartons. Re-stock returned product. Conducts inventory of, and manages breakage. May assist with picking customer orders. Additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. 2 - 3 years relevant warehouse and receiving experience. 1 - 3 years distribution experience preferred. Experience operating pallet jacks, hand-trucks. Experience operating balers and compactors. Skills/Qualifications Ability to operate warehouse and material handling equipment, including, but not limited to, pallet jacks and hand trucks. Must be able to read English. Must be organized and accurate. Must have strong multi-tasking and follow-through skills. Must be able to follow multiple directions. Proven ability to accurately meet deadlines under pressure. Must be a team player. Must work well unsupervised and be self-motivated. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Physical Demands Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to see, hear and talk. Frequently required to stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, and reach. Routinely required to lift, push, steer, sit, and manipulate small and large objects. Work Environment Exposure to extreme cold (negative 20°) in a freezer environment. Extensive and heavy warehouse environment.
