Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents Handle custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and floor care including buffing and polishing surfaces Operate commercial cleaning machinery like floor buffers and scrubbers to maintain pristine floors Follow safety protocols when handling chemical agents and cleaning equipment to ensure a safe working environment Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or sanitation issues and report them promptly Assist with light facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting as needed Adhere strictly to safety procedures during manual handling of heavy items or equipment to prevent injuries Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred Familiarity with cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures is essential Experience operating floor buffers, scrubbers, or other commercial cleaning equipment is advantageous Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and safe lifting practices is required Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff and visitors during cleaning routines Join us in creating a clean, safe, and inviting environment!
