  • Anticipated The Elementary Custodian is responsible for performing a variety of custodial duties in support of classroom and administrative operations.
The position involves the responsibility of tasks that require maintaining the cleanliness, good order, sanitary and secure conditions of the elementary school.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for total cleanliness of the school building including sweeping, dusting, washing and waxing floors, disposal of waste material/recycling, snow shoveling and all inside areas of the school owned buildings including restrooms, hallways, offices and classrooms;
  • Responsible for securing all doors and windows prior to leaving his/her building at the end of shift and maintain exit emergency lights and outside spotlights in cooperation with Maintenance;
  • Respond to requests from school staff, as needed and appropriate;
  • Perform additional specific cleaning duties during summer vacation involving classrooms, lavatories, kitchens, halls, hardwood floors and assembly areas in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement;
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Rate:
$20/hour
  • temporary role to cover an anticipated leave of absence (up to 3 months)
