Maintain clean, safe hospital spaces for patients, families, and staff. Perform floor, carpet, furniture, restroom, and surface cleaning; handle waste and supplies; operate cleaning equipment; and prepare beds and exam tables while following safety standards. Responsibilities Dust and damp mop hard floors; vacuum, spot-clean, and shampoo carpets and furniture. Collect and dispose of trash, soiled linens, recyclables, and regulated medical waste; replace liners. Clean and maintain surfaces, restrooms, stairwells, elevators, furniture, equipment, and patient-care items. Replenish restroom supplies and change curtains, draperies, blinds, and shades as needed. Operate electric and battery-powered cleaning equipment and assist with moving furniture or equipment. Clean and remake beds, stretchers, and exam tables; respond to spills or emergencies using proper protective equipment.
