Facilities Staff:
Operations & Janitorial Services Join our dynamic facilities team as a Facilities Staff member, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere of our venue. This energetic position involves maintaining the safety, functionality, and high-level sanitation of our classrooms, offices, and event spaces. Whether managing event setups or executing detailed daily cleaning protocols, you will be at the heart of delivering exceptional guest experiences in a lively, fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities Janitorial Excellence:
Execute comprehensive daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, restrooms, and public common areas across multiple floors. This includes vacuuming floors and furniture, mopping with designated solutions, and cleaning all glass surfaces and mirrors.
Specialized Maintenance:
Apply professional-grade cleaning techniques, such as using "Sheila Shine" on stainless steel surfaces like elevators, water fountains, and door metal bottoms.
Event Coordination:
Oversee the setup, breakdown, and maintenance of event spaces to ensure they meet operational standards and safety regulations. Coordinate with organizers to address logistical challenges promptly.
Guest Services & Safety:
Provide outstanding customer service by assisting guests with inquiries and managing check-in procedures. Maintain a safe environment by identifying and mitigating hazards like spills or debris.
Sanitation Management:
Ensure restrooms are fully stocked and sanitized, cleaning toilets and sinks daily. Manage waste by emptying all trash receptacles across the academic and athletic facilities.
Operational Support:
Handle cash transactions accurately during ticketing or concessions. Oversee specialized gym duties, including dry mopping gym floors and maintaining equipment.
Qualifications & Skills Organizational & Time Management:
Demonstrated ability to follow a rigorous, time-bound daily cleaning schedule while balancing guest service needs.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and maintain a high level of physical activity throughout a shift, including extensive walking, mopping, and vacuuming.
Technical Cleaning Skills:
Experience in custodial functions, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals, mop buckets, and vacuums.
Customer Service:
Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor; ability to handle conflict management effectively while maintaining professionalism.
Prior Experience:
Experience in events management, hospitality, or janitorial services is highly desirable. Knowledge of theater operations or resort settings is a plus.
Teamwork:
A proactive approach and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced team environment focused on community engagement.
