What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Location:
Fort Detrick, MD 21702.Shift:
Monday through Friday 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM (Day Shift).
Pay:
$17.84/hour. Start your day by checking in with your supervisor and teammates to go over the cleaning plan and what needs to be done that day. Grab your cleaning supplies—like mops, brooms, vacuums, and disinfectants—and load up if you need to. When you get to your assigned area, you'll get started by: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming the floors. Taking out the trash and putting in fresh bags. Cleaning restrooms, refilling supplies, and wiping down tables, chairs, doors, and more. Dusting furniture, shelves, and vents. Wiping windows, mirrors, and glass doors. Before finishing your shift, you'll walk through the area one last time to make sure everything looks clean and neat. Finally, return your tools and supplies to the storage area and get ready for tomorrow. Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming the floors. Taking out the trash and putting in fresh bags.
