Job Summary Join our dedicated custodial team as an Institutional Janitorial Team Member working part-time during evening hours. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of our facilities, creating a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your energy and attention to detail will help maintain high standards of hygiene and facility upkeep, contributing to a positive and healthy community atmosphere. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with janitorial or custodial experience who are eager to work flexible night shifts and make a meaningful impact through their work. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of athletic facilities, Campus Student Community Centers, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment Handle chemical agents safely following established safety protocols and handling procedures Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and floor care machines to maintain polished and sanitized surfaces Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting high-touch surfaces and ensuring proper waste disposal Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or chemical exposure during cleaning activities Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning practices highly valued Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and cleanliness standards Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers or industrial vacuums is advantageous Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and adhere to facility maintenance guidelines Join us in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment!
