Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Operate a variety of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, floor scrubbing machines, and waxing tools to achieve optimal results. Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals safely for tasks like floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing to maintain pristine floor care. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and safety procedures to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring their satisfaction with the cleanliness of their facilities. Assist with specialized tasks such as carpet cleaning, floor refinishing, and environmental services to meet diverse client needs. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or institutional environments. Proficiency in using various cleaning equipment including floor buffing machines, carpet extractors, and floor scrubbing tools. Knowledge of floor care techniques such as waxing, buffing, polishing, and refinishing to restore and maintain flooring quality. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to proper handling procedures for floor cleaning chemicals. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely during routine cleaning tasks. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach toward clients and team members.
