$16.00 per hour Position Summary No More Dust Maid Services is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Porter to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of a garden-style apartment community in Waldorf, MD. The ideal candidate will have previous experience cleaning and maintaining apartment communities and take pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. The Housekeeper/Porter will be responsible for the daily upkeep of common areas, leasing offices, amenity spaces, breezeways, laundry rooms, vacant apartments, and exterior grounds as assigned, while working closely with the property management and maintenance teams. Similar apartment housekeeping roles typically include maintaining common areas, amenities, model units, and vacant apartments while supporting the property's overall appearance. Responsibilities Daily Duties Clean and sanitize leasing office, clubhouse, fitness center, and other amenity spaces Clean and disinfect public restrooms Sweep, mop, and vacuum all common areas Dust furniture, windowsills, ledges, blinds, and other surfaces Clean entrance doors, glass, and mirrors Maintain stairwells, breezeways, hallways, and entryways Empty trash receptacles and replace liners throughout the property Pick up litter around buildings, sidewalks, parking areas, and landscaped areas Ensure all common areas remain clean and presentable throughout the day Clean and maintain laundry rooms Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, vandalism, or damages to management promptly Maintain housekeeping equipment, carts, and supply closets in a clean and organized manner Assist with preparing vacant apartments for new residents as assigned Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines Weekly & Periodic Duties Detail clean amenity areas Dust ceiling vents and light fixtures Clean baseboards and door frames in common areas Spot clean walls, doors, and trim Vacuum upholstered furniture in common areas Deep clean public restrooms Clean interior windows in common areas Assist with seasonal cleaning projects Perform other housekeeping duties assigned by the Property Manager or Supervisor Qualifications Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience , preferably in a garden-style apartment community, multifamily housing, hotel, or commercial property Experience maintaining common areas, amenity spaces, and vacant apartments preferred Must have a car to get to work Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent time management skills Professional appearance and positive attitude Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to communicate effectively with residents, coworkers, and property management Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent bending, standing, walking, reaching, and climbing stairs throughout the workday What We Offer Full-time, consistent Monday-Friday schedule No evenings or weekends Competitive pay of $16.00 per hour Supportive team environment Opportunity for growth within a growing commercial cleaning company If you take pride in keeping apartment communities clean, attractive, and welcoming, we'd love to hear from you!
