What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
SUMMARY:
RSU 2 is looking for a dependable and caring individual to join our team of Custodians at Hall Dale High School. In this role, you'll play an important part in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming space where our students and staff can learn and thrive each day. If you take pride in your work and enjoy making a positive difference behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you.RESPONSIBLITIES/QUALIFICATIONS
Clean classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas Empty trash and recycling Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces Restock supplies as needed Perform light maintenance and report any repair needs Ensure building is secure at the end of shift Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to work independently Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
Prior custodial or cleaning experience preferred High school diploma or HiSETCERTIFICATION
State of Maine Criminal History Records Check Certification of good health by a licensed physician Valid Maine Driver's LicenseSTART DATE
