A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Full-Time Year-Round Custodian Needed |

RSU 26 RSU 26

is seeking reliable, team-oriented applicants for a full-time, year-round custodial position .

Schedule:

40 hours/week, Monday through Friday 2pm-10pm

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive pay dependent on experience, includes a benefits package.

Key Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Maine Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) clearance (required before starting). Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb to roof/ceiling heights. Successful completion of a pre-employment physical. Experience operating standard commercial cleaning equipment preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work flexibly with students and staff.
