Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, replenishing supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
- Collect and dispose of waste and recycling materials.
- Ensure classrooms, offices, and communal areas are tidy and presentable.
- Conduct routine checks on cleaning equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning after school events as needed.
- Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies or requests from school staff.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to cleaning processes.
Background & Skills:
- On-the-job training in cleaning procedures and equipment use.
- Previous experience in a janitorial or cleaning role preferred.
Qualifications:
- Basic language skills for communication with staff.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory management.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and products.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing for long periods.
