Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

School Custodian/Janitorial - EVENING SHIFT Anthony's Janitorial & Maintenance INC Auburn Hills, MI Job Details Full-time $15 - $18 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Chemical safety protocols Full Job Description Anthony's Janitorial & Maintenance INC. is looking for dedicated and detail-oriented Janitors to keep our facilities safe, sanitary, and pristine for students and staff. Monday to Friday Part-Time 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM Full-Time 6:00 PM - 2:00AM In this role, you will be the backbone of our facility, ensuring our environment stays clean, sanitary, and safe for everyone. You will work mostly independent evening hours to prepare the building for the next school day.
Requirements:
Previous cleaning or custodial experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right people. Ability to walk, bend, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods. Ability to read basic safety labels and follow verbal or written instructions. Getting along and working with others Strong independent problem-solving skills, and reliability. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and must have reliable transportation to the job site. Clean background check (required for working around children).
Core Responsibilities:
Floor Care :
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and on occasion operate basic floor scrubbers or buffers.
Classrooms:
Clean classrooms, and common hallways
Sanitization :
Clean and disinfect high-traffic areas, break rooms, water fountains and all restrooms.
Waste Management :
Empty indoor trash cans (Classrooms, Hallways, and Restrooms) and transport waste to disposal areas.
Restocking :
Keep soap, paper towels, and toilet paper fully stocked daily and report shortages.
Safety Rules :
Follow all safety guidelines, handling cleaning chemicals precisely and safely.
