Job Description
Overview Bear Lake Library Cleaner (Part-Time) Manistee County Library is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Library Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for library patrons and staff at the Bear Lake branch location. The successful candidate will work independently to ensure library facilities are consistently clean and well-maintained. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and sanitize public areas, staff workspaces, and restrooms. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces. Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners. Clean windows, glass doors, and other interior surfaces as needed. Restock restroom supplies and notify the appropriate staff when cleaning supplies need replenishing. Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to library management. Follow established cleaning procedures and safety practices. Perform other custodial duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming public facility. Previous custodial or cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
