$17.83 or more dependent on experience

Advancement potential Position Summary Provides custodial services at assigned site(s); ensuring an attractive, sanitary and safe environment for students, staff and visitors; performing a variety of special cleaning operations; and assisting in preparing facilities for classroom activities and building events. Essential Functions Including But Not Limited To Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; replace light bulbs; refill restroom dispensers, wash windows Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed May set up and tear down facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc. May strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets Responsible for grounds cleanup and snow removal as necessary Helps to maintain building and door security Create positive relationships with students, staff members, and all building stakeholders Other duties assigned by the building administrator or Operations Supervisor Employment Qualifications
EDUCATION
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
EXPERIENCE
Preferred but not required; Working knowledge of custodial work, including cleaning methods and materials and the use of custodial equipment equivalent to that gained in at least one year of experience or a combination of education and experience Previous experience working in a sanitation, custodial or maintenance position preferred, but not required
