Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely according to established safety protocols and procedures. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to ensure optimal floor care and sanitation. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas to meet sanitation standards. Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including basic repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention. Skills Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or residential cleaning techniques. Familiarity with custodial equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and related cleaning tools. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects or supplies. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Experience in facilities maintenance or custodial work within commercial or institutional settings. Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining hygienic environments in various settings.
