What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
Supervise and support the daily activities of the janitorial team. Perform cleaning duties alongside the team. Ensure all assigned areas meet company quality and safety standards. Train and mentor employees on proper cleaning procedures and equipment use. Operate and maintain commercial cleaning equipment. Monitor inventory and report supply needs. Communicate effectively with management regarding daily operations. must be able to manage Union staff or have experience. Supervisor will have their own cleaning responsibility, a floor or 2.
Qualifications:
Previous supervisory experience in janitorial or custodial services preferred. Experience operating commercial cleaning machines/equipment is required. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Must be reliable and detail-oriented.
Requirements:
Must successfully pass a background check . Must successfully pass a drug screen . 90-day probationary period . Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Pay:
