Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Position Summary Responsible for housekeeping and general maintenance of cleanliness and organization in the production and office areas. Maintains housekeeping standards, contributing to increased efficiency and safety in the production area. Responsibilities Comply with all company policies and procedures. Complete all necessary production paperwork. Produce highest level of quality utilizing control plans and work instructions. Maintains safe work environment by following procedures. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational and training opportunities. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. Oil spills / Water spills in main aisle ways. Waste Baskets-Trash Barrels -Steel Barrels Plant Wide. Police front lawn-sweep walkways. Clean bathrooms in plants 2 and 3 once per week. Dust Mop Front Plant Aisle ways (coffee pot to lockers ) Wipe down lunch tables and garbage can tops clean. Replace Light Bulbs in all Offices ,Bathrooms and Bulletin Boards. Check refrigerator for old food - Clean microwaves . Windows in Plant Offices -Twice a week . Oil Sorb Mat Containers Emptied (4) - Cardboard Recycle Bins (3). Safety glasses, ear plugs gloves, rags (pick up soiled rags). Maintain bulbs in Exit Signs. Maintain Floor Sweeper. Remove snow with snow blower in winter season, shovel walkways as needed. Make minor building repairs door knobs, door hinges etc. Other duties as needed/assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or GED. Integrity and ability to work independently. Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Previous janitorial experience preferred but not necessary. Physical Requirements Standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching, color determination, near acuity, speaking, listening Work Environment This work position is required to work in a manufacturing environment facility. While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat (non-weather) and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Dowding Industries, Inc.
