What we require We're hiring experienced commercial and janitorial cleaners to join our team as full-time/part-time employees. This is a steady position with consistent scheduling and support from our office team.
Core Janitorial Duties:
  • Routine Surface Maintenance:
    Dusting desks, high ledges, and light fixtures; wiping down light switches, door handles, and high-touch areas with disinfectant
  • Floor Care:
    Sweeping, vacuuming carpets, wet-mopping hard floors with wet-floor warning signs deployed, and machine scrubbing or stripping/waxing per floor care schedules
  • Sanitation & Restrooms:
    Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, urinals, sinks, and counters; restocking paper products, soap, and hand sanitizer; polishing glass and mirrors
Waste Management:
Emptying office and common area trash/recycling receptacles, replacing liners, and transferring waste to outdoor dumpsters
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of janitorial or commercial cleaning experience
  • Physical Stamina:
    Ability to stand, bend, reach, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate heavy equipment (auto-scrubbers, floor buffers, commercial backpack vacuums)
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Familiarity with proper chemical dilution ratios, contact dwell times for disinfectants, and equipment maintenance procedures
  • Operational Skills:
    Strong attention to detail, time-management to meet square-footage-per-hour production rates, and clear communication skills
  • Working knowledge of ISSA cleaning standards (CIMS quality/service frameworks, ISSA 540 production rate benchmarks, and the ISSA 5-Level Cleanliness Scale) a plus
  • Reliable transportation to job sites
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Flexible availability (evenings/weekends a plus)
OSHA Standards & Safety Compliance:
  • Hazard Communication (HazCom): Understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), proper chemical container labeling, and hazard identification for cleaning products
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Correct use, maintenance, and care of gloves, goggles, and other required PPE when handling chemicals or operating equipment
  • Bloodborne Pathogens:
    Awareness of exposure control procedures where applicable (e.g., healthcare, food service, or school environments)
  • Chemical Management:
    Safe handling, storage, dilution, and disposal of hazardous cleaning chemicals to prevent fire, fume, or exposure hazards
  • Safe Equipment Operation:
    Proper lifting/carrying technique and safe operation of floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other powered equipment
  • Respiratory & Airborne Hazard Awareness:
    Understanding when respiratory protection is required, particularly in environments with infection control concerns
