Job Description

Position Hours:
Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Initial training scheduled would be weeknights 5:00pm-2:00am, once training completed shift would be 3 days per week, 12 hours shifts and one-half shift, days may vary and include weekends.
Position Responsibilities:
Site inspections-checking doors, buildings, and birds. Problem solving alarms. Prepping buildings for movements and vaccinations (disinfecting ladders, setting up disinfecting footbaths& bleach sprayer, heling to lock up birds) Picking up floor birds. Pouring water in buildings to maintain humidity in chick houses. Snow removal and salting Mixing disinfectant for footbaths, tires baths, testing and refilling. Cleaning when no cleaning team present. Laundry. Run limited equipment as assigned Perform daily/weekly calendar cleaning as assigned by management and/or supervisor Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Does not own or maintain routine contact with birds or swine. Ability to comply with the strictest standards for animal welfare and to report incidents of abuse, neglect, or breach of biosecurity to preserve the health and welfare of our birds
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Have the ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods of time on concrete floors The ability to stoop, bend, climb, and lift at least 25 pounds continuously throughout the day. Should be comfortable working around moving machinery and working in a farm environment with very dusty conditions.
