Overview The Environmental Services Aide plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within our facility. This position is essential for ensuring the health and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards, particularly in a hospital or healthcare setting. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Utilize appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment to maintain floors, carpets, and surfaces. Follow established protocols for infection control and safety procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations. Dispose of waste materials in compliance with environmental services standards. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly. Assist with special cleaning projects as needed, including deep cleaning and floor care tasks. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low. Skills Experience in environmental services or custodial work is preferred, particularly within a hospital or healthcare setting. Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and sanitation. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
