Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums. Handle various cleaning agents safely, following chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without compromising safety. Conduct heavy lifting tasks involving supplies, trash disposal, and equipment movement while adhering to safe lifting practices. Maintain cleanliness by emptying trash bins, restocking supplies, Indoor and outdoor stairwells and breezeways, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces regularly. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as outdoor light fixtures, decks, and stairwells or reporting issues requiring professional attention. Follow safety protocols diligently during all custodial activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment. Support special projects like residential turnovers or detailed floor care when needed to enhance facility appearance. Skills preferred Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures. Skilled in operating cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools. Familiarity with chemical agent handling and safety procedures to ensure proper use and storage of cleaning products. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment. Strong attention to detail with excellent sanitation practices to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Basic facilities maintenance skills such as cleaning interior and exterior of buildings.
