About the
Role:
The Part Time Janitor plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment within our manufacturing facility. This position ensures that all workspaces, common areas, and restrooms are regularly cleaned and sanitized to meet health and safety standards. The janitor will contribute to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process by minimizing hazards and promoting a professional atmosphere. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently during assigned shifts. Ultimately, the janitor supports the company's commitment to providing a healthy and productive workplace for all employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, with the ability to use them safely. Reliable attendance and punctuality to fulfill scheduled part-time shifts. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and compliance requirements. Experience operating floor cleaning machines such as buffers or scrubbers. Basic knowledge of waste segregation and recycling practices. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors. Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed during peak production periods.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors and surfaces throughout the facility. Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to ensure hygiene standards are consistently met. Dispose of trash and recycling materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations. Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any maintenance or supply needs to management promptly. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a secure working environment.

The required skills enable the janitor to efficiently carry out cleaning and maintenance duties while adhering to safety standards, ensuring a hazard-free environment. Physical stamina and attention to detail are essential for managing the demands of the role and maintaining high cleanliness standards.
