A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of school premises. Perform a range of cleaning duties, including but not limited to: Empty trash and recycling containers Sweep, mop, and scrub floors Vacuum and operate other cleaning equipment Sanitize and restock restroom facilities Clean window, doors, and mirrors
