Janitor/Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in our childcare facility. This is a part-time position working 2 hours per day, Monday through Friday, ideal for someone looking for consistent, short shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors daily Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, soap dispensers, and surrounding areas Sanitize classroom surfaces such as counters, tables, and sinks Disinfect high-touch areas including door handles and light switches Clean and sanitize toys, including mouthed or soiled items, and allow proper drying Wash and sanitize classroom play surfaces and materials (shelves, play kitchens, etc.) Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning solutions Empty trash and recycling bins; clean and sanitize garbage can lids Clean and disinfect shared cots as needed and at the end of each week Ensure all areas are left clean, organized, and ready for the next day Turn off lights and complete closing tasks if last staff member in the building

Qualifications:

Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred but not required Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Reliable and consistent attendance

Work Schedule:
