Job Description
Overview RiverView Health, is a community owned, membership based non-profit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston, MN. RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area. - Environmental Services Aide is responsible for performing cleaning and disinfecting duties to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital and clinic facilities.
Some of the responsibilities include:
Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces Emptying trash cans and replacing liners Ensure all areas are cared for and inspected according to standards Notifying supervisor on any damage, deficit(s), and/or disturbances Ensure adequate stock of cleaning supplies Follow all policy, health, and safety regulations Handle and dispose of waste in accordance with hospital regulations Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition Completing assigned work orders Preparing rooms for new patients, ensuring that all surfaces, equipment and linens are clean Cleaning patient rooms, offices, and public areas, ensuring that they meet health and safety standards Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods Qualifications Minimum(s): One+ years of experience as a cleaner or housekeeper Experience working with various cleaning equipment and tools Preferred(s): High School diploma/GED is preferred Experience with written and verbal communication Computer experience- Microsoft Office products
