A Day in the Life of an Environmental Services Technician This role involves maintaining and ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the healthcare facility. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, adherence to strict safety and sanitation protocols, and managing multiple cleaning tasks simultaneously. Environmental Services Technicians are crucial in preventing infections through meticulous cleanliness while effectively communicating with other departments to coordinate activities. Education and Experience
Required Experience in interim and restorative level floor care to include stripping and waxing, grout cleaning, carpet extraction, carpet spotting, etc
Minimum 3 years prior experience working in a healthcare facility in an environmental services or housekeeping position and/or experience using janitorial equipment
Able to follow written and oral instructions, interact with all members of the healthcare team, and respond appropriately to all requests
Must have sufficient reading ability to read instructions and chemical product labels and fill out maintenance request Preferred High School education Compensation and Benefits The pay range is listed above.
