General Statement of Duties :

General cleaning of the liquor store building and grounds to provide a clean, pleasing, comfortable, and safe environment for both customers and employees. Position shall not exceed 14 hours per week or 35 percent of the normal work week in the employee's appropriate unit, whichever is less.

Works under the general supervision of the liquor store manager

Essential Job Functions:

Daily- On-Sale 1. Sweep and mop all floors, thoroughly cleaning all corners. 2. Vacuum carpet. 3. Clean tops, backs, legs, and bottoms of all chairs, bar stools, and tables. 4. Empty all trash receptacles and reline baskets. 5. Clean both washrooms, including sinks, stools, and urinals; replace strainer baskets as needed. 6. Empty and clean cigarette and ash containers. 7. Transports, unaided, garbage barrels weighing up to 50 pounds to garbage dumpsters and empties the barrels over the top of the dumpster. 8. Pick up debris and litter in parking lot and empty trash receptacles into dumpsters 9. Clean mats behind bar Weekly- On-Sale & Off-Sale 1. Wipe down all lights and machines 2. Wipe off all ledges 3. Clean glass on all entry and cooler doors. 4. Sweep and mop coolers Twice per year- On-Sale 1. Steam clean carpet. As Needed- On-Sales & Off-Sale 1. Wash walls behind sinks, stools, and urinals. 2. Fill towel and toilet paper dispensers. 3. Sweep dirt from sidewalks 4. Inform manager of cleaning supply needs. 5. Inform manager of equipment repairs unable to complete 6. Replace burnt-out light bulbs 7. Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Knowledge of proper methods of cleaning a public building. 2. Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects up to 50 pounds. 3. Ability to work in weather extremes for short periods of time. 4. Ability to climb, stoop, and bend. 5. Ability to see, hear, and speak. 6. Ability to read and follow written instructions. 7. Ability to operate small hand tools and cleaning equipment. 8. Ability to work with others and act in a courteous manner with customers.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Pay:

$15.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 - 10.0 per week
