What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Employment Opportunity:
School Custodian Holdingford Public Schools | Holdingford, MN Holdingford Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, responsible, and caring individual to join our custodial team. We take pride in our facilities and believe that a clean, safe environment is the foundation of student success. Role Purpose The Custodian plays a vital role in providing students, staff, and visitors with a safe, attractive, and comfortable place to learn and work. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness to promote health and safety while reducing the spread of infection throughout the district. Key Responsibilities
•
Sanitization:
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of classrooms, office areas, restrooms, storage rooms, and entrances.

Health & Safety:
Implement cleaning protocols designed to mitigate the spread of germs and maintain a healthy indoor environment.
•
Facilities Maintenance:
Manage waste removal, floor care, and the upkeep of common areas.
•
General Support:
Assist with grounds maintenance, laundry services, and building repairs as assigned.
•
Collaboration:
Work under the general supervision of the Head Custodian and Night Lead Custodian to ensure all operational needs are met. Qualifications

A reliable, self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic.

Physicality:
Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
•
Communication:
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively individually and as part of a team.

Supervision:
Reports to the Head Custodian and Night Lead Custodian.
•
Schedule:
6.5 hours/day, 3:00 to 9:30 p.m. shift, student session days.

Benefits:
Part time benefit package included..
