A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.
Holmes Cleaning Services LLC is hiring dependable and detail-oriented Post-Construction Cleaners for commercial construction cleaning projects. This position involves detailed cleaning of newly constructed buildings including apartments, retail stores, restaurants, offices, and commercial spaces before final turnover.
Position Overview:
A Post-Construction Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and preparing construction sites for inspection and occupancy. Team members will work alongside supervisors and other crew members to deliver high-quality cleaning services on active construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed cleaning of construction sites including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing Clean windows, glass, mirrors, fixtures, walls, trim, and other surfaces Remove construction dust, debris, stickers, tape, and protective coverings Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and break areas Dispose of trash and construction debris properly Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipment when required Maintain cleaning equipment and report issues when needed Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met Work efficiently with team members to complete projects on schedule
Qualifications:
Previous cleaning or construction cleaning experience preferred but not required Reliable transportation required Must be dependable and able to work independently Strong attention to detail Ability to lift, bend, squat, and stand for extended periods Good communication and teamwork skills Must be comfortable working in active construction environments
Travel Requirements:
Must be willing to travel to job sites throughout Minnesota Some projects may require travel up to 2 hours Mileage reimbursement provided for qualifying travel
Working Conditions:
Construction site environments may include dust, noise, ladders, and changing conditions Some evening or weekend work may be required depending on project schedules PPE and safety equipment must be worn as required
