Job Description

Summary A Facility Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment of numerous areas of the facility, such as offices, warehouses, production, and commons areas. This role is vital to ensuring the well-being of employees, visitors, and clients by upholding high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize designated facility areas, including restrooms, break rooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and floor scrub floors as assigned. Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste materials properly. Restock supplies such as soap, paper products, and cleaning materials. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to Maintenance Manager. Operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely and effectively. Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols. Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications:
Required Skills, Education, and Experience High school diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent experience. Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning roles is an advantage but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good time management and organizational skills. Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, products, and equipment. Be physically capable of handling materials weighing up to 50 lbs. While working, to be able to stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, stoop, crouch, reach, handle, finger, feel, talk and hear. In addition, visual clarity near, far, peripherally and identifying color are necessary. Fast paced environment, closely interacting with teammates.
