A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Description:

Roseville Area Schools has an opening for a Custodian Cleaner at various elementary schools. Hours are Monday-Friday, 2:30-11:00 p.m. Successful candidate will be responsible for working with other custodial staff, cleaning assigned areas, assisting with set-ups, and various other duties; must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Qualifications:

Candidates must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to plan and organize work and prioritize the needs of the building Strong communication and interpersonal skills Moderate computer proficiency Be a self starter: be able to recognize, analyze, develop solutions and initiate problem solving with little information or direction Ability to maintain regular attendance The employee may be required to work at various sites throughout the district as needed.

Compensation:

Roseville Schools offers a full benefit package including medical, dental and retirement. Starting pay for this position is $21.83 per hour and includes shift differential pay of $60 per month for second shift positions.
