What they do

A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

WORK HOURS:

Full-time; 8 hours per day; Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

JOB DUTIES

Cleaning Duties:

Mopping, sweeping, carpet extracting, vacuuming, dusting, painting, washing walls, windows, sanitary fixtures, etc.

Other Duties:

Unloading and distributing freight, minor grounds maintenance, and assisting in any project as directed by the building head.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds and hold a valid Minnesota driver's license. SALARY and

Salary based experience and the 2025-2027 School Support Employees Agreement V(a) starting at $23.28 up to $24.62 per hour. Benefits based on full-time employment and may be pro-rated for part-time positions.
