A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Overview We are looking for a reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented Part-time Facilities Custodian to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout the warehouse, offices, breakroom, restrooms, and common areas. Performing routine cleaning and sanitation duties helps to ensure the facility is presentable for employees and visitors. This position offers flexible hours and an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our distribution center. Duties Clean and sanitize offices, warehouse common areas, conference rooms, and breakroom. Wipe and disinfect tables, counters, desktops, and other high-touch surfaces. Vacuum carpeted areas and mop hard surface floors - specific areas throughout the building. Empty trash bins and replace liners. Dusting - specific areas. Emptying paper shredder, vacuuming floor around it. Clean interior windows and mirrors. Clean front entrance windows (inside and outside). Sweep/maintain outdoor front entrance, as needed (excluding winter months). Clean restrooms (9) with specific tasks. Clean the breakroom and coffee pots. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or damaged equipment. Follow company safety procedures and proper product/chemical handling. Perform other custodial duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous/current custodial, janitorial, or commercial cleaning experience. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to maintain confidentiality while working in offices. Must speak fluent English. Physical requirements Standing and/or walking the entire duration of shift. Bend, kneel, squat, reach, and climb stairs throughout the shift. Ability to lift and carry 30-40lbs, occasionally. Use cleaning tools and equipment including vacuums, mops, brooms, and floor cleaning supplies. Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment.
